13.3 APEX A9000 symptoms and solutions

Corrective action

No LED is flashing.

Current source below 3,6 mA .

Incorrect wiring polarity.

Verify current source supplies at

least 3,6 mA. Check wiring for

correct polarity.

Valve position reading

is not what is expected.

Stem position sensor mounting

is off 180 degrees.

Apex A9000 not calibrated.

Tight shutoff MPC (Minimum

position cutoff) is active.

Reposition sensor.

Calibrate Apex A9000.

No action.

Apex A9000 goes

in wrong direction.

Change direction

(Section 10.4).

Apex A9000 is

oscillating.

Decrese gain (Section 10.6).

Apex A9000 is

responding slow.

Increse gain (Section 10.6).
